  A problem when a sample does not fairly represent the population.

  In context: to officially approve something, or to punish; check which meaning fits the passage.

  Saying the opposite of what you mean in order to mock or criticise.

  Mocking in a bitter, scornful way.

  In maths, to make an equation or condition true.

• scale factor

  The number that each length is multiplied by to make a larger or smaller similar shape.

  With a scale factor of 2, the area becomes 4 times larger.Dengan faktor skala 2, luas menjadi 4 kali lebih besar.

  Very severe and harshly critical.

  The review was a scathing attack on the play.Ulasan itu merupakan serangan pedas terhadap drama tersebut.

• scatterplot

  A graph of points showing the relationship between two variables.

  A way of writing very large or small numbers as a number between 1 and 10 times a power of 10.
