Use the correct past participle after "have/has/had" (e.g. "has written", not "has wrote"). Use the present perfect for actions continuing to now and the past perfect for an earlier past action.
После have/has/had нужна правильная третья форма (has written, а не has wrote). Present Perfect — для действий, длящихся до сих пор, Past Perfect — для более раннего прошлого.
✔ Верно: By 2010, the species had disappeared from the island.
