Words such as "each", "every", "one of", "neither" and collective nouns like "team" usually take a singular verb. With "either…or" and "neither…nor", match the verb to the nearer subject.

Các từ như each, every, one of, neither và danh từ tập hợp như team thường đi với động từ số ít. Với either…or và neither…nor, động từ hòa hợp với chủ ngữ gần hơn.

Mẹo: "One of the…", "each of the…" and "the number of…" are singular; "a number of…" is plural.
