并列连词前的逗号

Commas with coordinating conjunctions

规则

When "and, but, or, so, yet, for, nor" join two complete sentences, put a comma before the conjunction. Do not use a comma when the conjunction joins only two verbs or phrases.

and、but、or、so、yet、for、nor连接两个完整句子时,连词前加逗号;只连接两个动词或短语时不加逗号。

✔ 正确: The plan was simple, but it worked.

✘ 错误: The plan was simple but, it worked.

→ 改正: Place the comma before "but", not after it.

技巧: Comma + FANBOYS joins two sentences. No comma when the second part has no subject (e.g. "She tested and confirmed it").
