Compare like with like: things with things, people with people. Use "than" for comparisons and the correct comparative (bigger, more) or superlative (biggest, most) form.
같은 종류끼리 비교해야 합니다(물건은 물건과, 사람은 사람과). 비교에는 than을, 비교급(bigger, more)과 최상급(biggest, most)은 올바른 형태로 씁니다.
✔ 맞는 문장: The population of Sydney is larger than that of Perth.
✘ 틀린 문장: The population of Sydney is larger than Perth.
→ 고치는 법: Compare population with population: "than that of Perth".
요령: Ask what exactly is being compared. Use "that of / those of" to keep the comparison logical.
