Complete sentences and fragments
नियम
A sentence needs a subject and a main (finite) verb and must express a complete idea. A group of words without these is a fragment.
वाक्य में कर्ता और मुख्य (कालयुक्त) क्रिया होनी चाहिए और उसे पूरा विचार व्यक्त करना चाहिए। इनके बिना शब्द-समूह खंड (fragment) है।
✔ सही: The museum, which opened in 1990, attracts many visitors.
✘ ग़लत: The museum, which opened in 1990 and attracts many visitors.
→ सुधार: Remove "and" so that "attracts" becomes the main verb.
सुझाव: Cover the extra information between commas. If what remains has no main verb, it is a fragment.
