Plural and possessive nouns
नियम
Plural nouns usually add -s (scientists). Singular possessives add ’s (the scientist’s notes). Plural possessives add an apostrophe after the s (the scientists’ notes).
बहुवचन में प्रायः -s लगता है (scientists)। एकवचन स्वामित्व में ’s (the scientist’s notes) और बहुवचन स्वामित्व में s के बाद अपॉस्ट्रॉफ़ी (the scientists’ notes) लगती है।
✔ सही: The two researchers’ findings were published last year.
✘ ग़लत: The two researcher’s findings were published last year.
→ सुधार: Two researchers own the findings, so the apostrophe goes after the s: "researchers’".
